ARTIST TALK: YERBOSSYN MELDIBEKOV

Artist Yerbossyn Meldibekov born in 1964 at the small railway station called Tulkubas in Kazakhstan. In an interview, Yerbossyn talks about the choice to become an artist as an ironic combination of circumstances. Through a period of studying at an art college, communication with Shaimardan Sariyev, before the exhibition “Eternal Return”, the artist talks about what influenced his formation.

Yerbossyn Meldibekov based in Almaty. He has had a solo at the Centre for Contemporary Art (Soros, Almaty, 2007), Kunstverein Rosenheim (Germany, 2008), House of Artists (Pärnu, Estonia, 2012), State Museum of Arts named after A.
